AromaTherapy Enhance Your Love Life with Aromatherapy Looking for an herbal remedy to spruce up your love
life? Try aromatherapy! Aromatherapy has been used for years to heal,
to encourage peace of mind and serenity, to restore balance to the body, soul
and mind, and even to freshen up and clean homes or offices. But what many aromatherapy users don't
realize is that these products can also be used to create sensual well being and stir romance for two people that are in
love! Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils that have
been derived from plants and trees to promote overall wellbeing. The oils are extracted using one of several
methods, such as distillation, carbon dioxide solvent extraction, and cold
pressing (mostly used for citrus oils).
Through their fragrant scents and sometimes even their unique physical
properties, essential oils bring about certain responses from the brain. These responses may include stress reduction
and relaxation, increased energy, improved memory and concentration, and even
sensual arousal. What are Good Sensual Blends? There are several essential oils that arouse the
senses, but keep in mind that people respond differently to various aromas. So
there's not a "one oil fits all"
solution. It's wise to try several to
find which ones are favored by both you and your partner. And don't use too much oil. This could overwhelm you and your partner
with a strong scent and defeat the intended purpose. Introduce just a small amount of oil or
blended oils to the room to make sure the scent agrees with both of you. If using oil for massages or baths, use just
a small amount on the skin for starters to test for allergies. Civet and musk aromas are known to be physically
arousing, but these are usually either produced synthetically or extracted from
animals. These are not used in
aromatherapy, but may be added to floral blends occasionally. They are so popular because they mimic the
natural occurring pheromones that are secreted by humans. Pheromones can strongly influence the
attraction between two people. To get
similar effects, essential oils such as sandalwood, jasmine and patchouli can
be used in oil blends and are often added to many costly perfumes. Oils that are used for sensual purposes are usually
sweet-smelling with floral, fruity or woody properties. Exotic oils such as ylang
ylang, patchouli, sandalwood and vetivert
can generate a laid-back, warm atmosphere.
Or for the feeling of summer ease and warmth, essential oils such as
jasmine, rose and orange blossom will do the trick. Blending Oils with a Sensual Touch There are two ways to go about creating
sensual-inducing aromatherapy oils. You
can buy the commercial brands in which fragrances are already blended to create
a certain mood. These will usually still
have to be diluted so read the instructions carefully before use. Another option is to blend your own oils and
create the sensual fragrance that's right for you and your partner. If you find that the commercial blends don't
work for you, then blending your own provides an alternative option. This allows you to experiment with various
fragrances and create concoctions for multiple purposes. If you plan to blend your own sensual oils, be sure to
follow the recipes carefully. You can
find many homemade aromatherapy recipes online and also experiment with some of
your own. An important thing to remember
is that combining several wonderful smelling fragrances won't always create a
better smelling fragrance! The oils must
be added in differing amounts to create the perfect blend. For example, you will likely add fewer drops
of the stronger smelling oil and more drops of the weaker oil to create an
effective blend that suits you and your partner. Using Sensual Oils Sensual aromatherapy oils can be used in several ways
to create a certain mood. You can create
a bath blend for soaking or body oil to be applied immediately after a
shower. This can replace your usual
perfume while also promoting skin health and beauty. Another method is to create essential oil
lotions and body oil for massages. You
and your partner can give one another a massage using the massage oil or lotion
mixture to help each other relax and enjoy the evening. Massage by candlelight after a romantic
dinner to really set the evening in motion! Essential oils can be used to create sensual scents in
a room. Burn incense
or create a fragrant room spray. Avoid
using oils that have been diluted in carrier oils. Instead, add the oil to distilled water for
spritzing or add a few drops in water and place in a burner to gradually
release the scent into the room. There are a several popular blends that can be used to
create a bed linen spray. Look for
recipes using the following for great results: ·
Rose ·
Jasmine ·
Bergamot ·
Lime ·
Ginger Blend several of these and add to a spritzing bottle
that features a fine mist setting. Spray
lightly onto your bed linens and allow to dry
completely. Don't spray directly onto
your skin. Use the Web as a resource to find a variety of
aromatherapy products and recipes to enhance your love life. Whether blending your own or buying pre-mixed

added boost to any start-up romance! Copyright
